What To Expect When Visiting the Grand Opera House

Parking is provided to our patrons free of charge in the Iowa Street Parking Ramp directly across the street from our lobby doors during performances, thanks in part to our show sponsors and promoters.

The Outer Lobby will open 1 hour prior to each performance at that time Will Call tickets can be picked up at the labeled location, and tickets can be purchased from the Box Office Staff.

Concessions are sold in the Outer Lobby before the show and during Intermission. The Grand serves Pepsi Products, a variety of candy, and Popcorn. In addition, Beer and Wine are also sold from our Bar Area located next to the Concession Stand. We accept cash or credit card at both locations.

The house will open for seating half an hour before the show. A team of volunteer Ushers will show you to your seat, and provide you with a Playbill when they are available.

Hearing Assistance Devices are available. If you need a hearing assistance device, please notify the usher who seats you, and they will assist you with getting a device from the House Manager.

Wheelchair accommodations along with companion seats are available on the main floor. Please request when reserving your seats.

Restrooms are located on the lower level of the theater. Stairs are on each side of the inner lobby, and an elevator is available next to the box office. An additional accessible restroom is available next to the concession stand.

An Elevator is available next to the box office for balcony seating and restrooms in the lower level.

If you arrive after the show has begun, you may be seated in the rear of the auditorium until intermission or at the discretion of the House Manager.

Tickets can be purchased online, by phone, or in person at our box office. Click here to purchase tickets online.

All ticket sales are final. We are unable to refund or resell tickets for you. However, returned tickets can qualify as a tax deductible donation to The Grand Opera House.

Tickets can be exchanged for another performance of the same production by contacting our Box Office prior to the start of the show.

Any patron causing a disturbance will be asked to leave the theater out of courtesy to other patrons and performers.

Fire or Emergency Notice: The exit indicated by a lighted sign nearest your seat is the shortest route out of the theater. In an emergency evacuation, please walk to the nearest exit.
